| Underage Females Being Trafficked from Karachi Have Been Revealed. |
Karachi: The Sindh High Court has ordered a high-level probe into the disclosure of underage girl trafficking in Karachi, Sindh province's capital.
The Sindh High Court, according to the facts, has directed the Home Department to constitute a Joint Investigation Team (JIT) to examine the matter of underage females being trafficked from Karachi.
The court has also ordered the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to conduct an investigation, and officials from the SSP City and FIA have been called for the next session.
During the hearing, Justice Salahuddin Panhour stated that, based on the alarming confessions of a girl named Maskan, it appears that few females are trafficked in Oman.
According to the court, a 14-year-old girl was taken from the city and sold three times, according to the child's statement. There were also females.
The court stated that this is a serious concern that cannot be ignored, and that the police and institutions should investigate so that additional female trafficking may be prevented.
On January 9, the High Court ordered the release of the accused jailed on the accusation of blackmailing the girl into marriage.
