| In Karachi, Kmc Cancels Charged Parking Contracts |
KARACHI: Following the directives of Karachi Administrator Dr.Saifur Rehman, the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) has revoked all unauctioned chargeable parking contracts, Pakistan Digital News reported on Friday.
The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) has announced the revocation of all unauctioned paid parking contracts.
The contracts of six parking lots were revoked in the first phase, which included:
- Civic Centre exclusively on University Road and Sir Shah Suleman Road between the Civic Centre Gate and the DMC East Office.
- There is a parking lot in front of the Nazimabad Driving License Branch.
- NIPA for World Mobile
- Hospital Ibne Seena
- Clifton Crystal Court
- M. A. Jinnah Road (Kausar Medico to Civil Signal, Light House) Sarai Road (Lahore Sharbat) Turning Signal and Memon From the Masjid to the M W Tower.
A notification was also issued for the enforcement of a prohibition on the creation of new parking lots. In addition, the KMC terminated the contractual parking system for other public parks, including the Karachi Zoo, Safari Park, and other KMC parks.
After accepting the resignation of Barrister Murtaza Wahab, the Sindh government named Dr Saifur Rehman as the new administrator of Karachi yesterday.
The Local Government and Housing Town Planning Department published the announcement of the new Karachi Administration.
The ruling Pakistan People's Party (PPP) and the Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan (MQM-P) agreed to propose Dr Saif ur Rehman for the position of Karachi Administrator.
