Google has released its annual Year in Search report, which summarises the top trends for 2022 in Pakistan, according to a statement issued by the tech giant on Wednesday.
The searches revealed that Pakistanis have a wide range of interests, including politics, famous people, government initiatives, current events, entertainment, technology, and food.
Cricket was the top search trend again this year, with the T20 World Cup, Asia Cup 2022, and Pakistan Super League (PSL) 7 taking the top three spots on the overall list of top searches.
People were looking for government campaigns and financial aid schemes like the Ehsaas Program due to nationwide financial insecurity, floods, and inflation.
Meanwhile, celebrities such as Queen Elizabeth, Aamir Liaquat, and Arshad Shareef took their places on the list.
